Freelance SEO Copywriter
Description
Coalition Technologies is looking for talented Freelance SEO Copywriters to create high-quality, search-optimized content for eCommerce and lead generation websites. This is a project-based freelance opportunity ideal for writers who can combine strong research, polished English, and conversion-focused storytelling. In this role, you will write across a wide variety of formats, including product descriptions, category pages, blog articles, SEO landing pages, and website copy. You will work with detailed client guidelines, adapt to different brand voices, and produce content that is clear, engaging, accurate, and designed to perform in search. Our client portfolio spans diverse industries such as fashion, luxury retail, beauty and skincare, technology, software, finance, investing, law, education, home improvement, automotive, health and wellness, medical and clinical services, digital marketing, SEO, PR, advertising, and more. Writers with specialized knowledge in technical, legal, financial, healthcare, marketing, or SaaS topics are especially encouraged to apply. This role is best suited for detail-oriented freelance writers who meet deadlines, communicate professionally, and know how to balance SEO strategy with brand messaging and measurable business results.
Requirements
Excellent English writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills. 2 to 4 years of professional non-academic writing experience preferred. Strong understanding of SEO copywriting, keyword usage, search intent, content structure, and on-page optimization. Ability to write compelling content for eCommerce websites, lead generation websites, blogs, landing pages, product pages, and category pages. Strong research skills and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar industries, products, services, audiences, and competitors. Ability to follow detailed client briefs, style guides, and brand voice requirements. Capacity to produce creative, accurate, engaging, and ROI-focused content. Professional communication skills and consistent ability to meet project deadlines. A portfolio of published writing samples is strongly preferred. Experience writing for specialized industries such as technology, finance, law, healthcare, medical services, SEO, PR, advertising, or digital marketing is a strong plus.
Benefits
Flexible freelance, project-based work with the opportunity to write for a wide range of industries and clients. Paid per word, with rates assessed according to Coalition Technologies' KPI rubric. Initial compensation of up to $0.06 per word, with $0.034 per word being the most typical starting rate, equivalent to approximately $30 or $17 per 500-word page. After 400 live pages, the top rate increases to $0.064 per word, with $0.038 per word being the most typical rate. After 800 live pages, the top rate increases to $0.07 per word, with $0.044 per word being the most typical rate. Opportunity to build a strong professional portfolio with published SEO content.
