Senior Product Engineer (Full-Stack, Backend-Heavy)
Description
Clipster is building the performance layer for the creator economy, connecting brands with creators who clip, remix and distribute branded content across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X and other major platforms. Creators earn for every view they generate, while brands gain scalable influencer marketing, simpler campaign operations and reliable performance tracking. After starting as an influencer marketing agency, Clipster began automating the operational work behind high-performing campaigns and turned that internal engine into a fast-growing product platform. Since launching in early 2025, the company has grown to 35 team members, scaled to more than 100,000 creators, paid over $5M to creators, acquired 120+ clients through organic word of mouth and delivered campaigns for names such as Telegram, UFC, Universal Music Group, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Playboi Carti and Kendrick Lamar. We are hiring a Senior Product Engineer with strong backend depth and full-stack range. Your core focus will be Golang services, distributed systems and the architecture that powers creator payouts, campaign tracking and high-volume platform activity. At the same time, you will operate as a true product engineer: understanding the user problem, making pragmatic technical decisions and contributing across React and Next.js when that is the fastest way to ship value. This is a high-ownership role on a lean engineering team where your work can move quickly from idea to production and be used by a large, rapidly growing creator network. You will help design scalable systems, improve platform reliability, simplify complex workflows and mentor others while staying close to product outcomes.
Requirements
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of strong Golang experience. • Proven ability to build and operate high-performance backend services and distributed systems. • Comfortable working across the full stack, including React and Next.js, even if backend engineering is your primary strength. • Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis; experience with Google Cloud Platform is a strong advantage. • Strong system design skills and the ability to move from architecture discussions to clean, production-ready code. • Commitment to code quality, automated testing, documentation and long-term maintainability. • Product-minded approach: you care about outcomes, users and business impact, not just closing tickets. • High ownership, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, async environment. • Ability to simplify complex problems, make practical trade-offs and ship with speed and clarity. • Openness to using AI and modern engineering tools to increase productivity and stay ahead of the curve. • Bonus: experience with payment systems, high-volume payouts, event-driven architecture or real-time data processing.
Benefits
• Remote-first, async-friendly work environment with core collaboration hours from 10:00 to 14:00 UTC+2. • High-impact role in a profitable, fast-growing creator economy platform with strong organic traction. • Total ownership in a lean tech team of fewer than 15 people, with minimal bureaucracy and fast decision-making. • Opportunity to build products used by a large creator network and trusted by global brands and entertainment clients. • Low-meeting culture focused on clear documentation, Slack and Loom for efficient collaboration. • Close collaboration with experienced engineers, product leaders and founders. • Meaningful technical challenges across distributed systems, creator payouts, campaign analytics and scalable product infrastructure. • A culture that values intensity, humility, simplification, mentorship and mission alignment.
